Neighbors theory: Paul Robinson’s new lover has a connection with Terese Willis in the final twist | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Paul (played by Stefan Dennis) is currently estranged from his wife, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) after his constant lies and manipulation pushed her into the arms of his brother, Glen Donnelly (Richard Huggett). The ruthless Neighbors villain is desperate to make his other half pay for leaving him, having personally destroyed his Fashion Week event to ensure she loses her job. However, he might find his attention turned in the upcoming scenes of the Channel 5 soap opera as his mother-in-law visits Ramsay Street, but will a new romance blossom?

The drama begins very soon as Terese is furious to discover that Paul has been hiding assets ahead of their impending divorce, making sure he keeps hold of as much as possible.

As she prepares for revenge, believing her ex-husband will leave her with nothing, she reconsiders her options.

Having been in a relationship with the villain for some time, Terese has always vowed to never stoop to his level.

If she had to get revenge, she knows she would be like him so she unplugs everything, just in time for her mother’s arrival.

Estelle Petrides (Maria Mercedes) has been mentioned several times over the years but she has never made an appearance on the show.

Terese’s estranged mother shows up unannounced and claims she’s visiting Erinsborough to help her daughter through her divorce.

Unable to trust Estelle’s words, Terese ends up contacting her brother, Nick Petrides (Damien Fotiou), who tells her the truth.

It seems Estelle is homeless and needs someone to support and fund her, hence why she turned to her estranged daughter.

She thought she could have gotten away with the story that she was helping Terese through this dark time in her life, but the cat was soon out of the bag.

Although she is hurt that her mother cheated on her, Paul’s ex-wife takes the opportunity to bond with Estelle.

Whether or not the wedding goes off without any drama would be kept under wraps for now, but with so much drama swirling around the new romance, it looks like it could be one for the history books.

It has been revealed that Paul’s brother, Scott Robinson (Jason Donovan), will return for the soap opera’s final episodes airing on August 1, 2022.

He could return for his brother’s wedding alongside his wife and loyal neighbor, Charlene Robinson (Kylie Minogue).

Terese would be furious that she and her mother shared a bed with the same man, but having had enough of her feud with Paul, will she let the past pass?

The actress who plays Terese, Rebekah, opened up about her character last year and hinted that something like this was happening to her alter-ego.

The soap opera star said: “For over a year, Neighbors bosses have been telling me they have two massive storylines coming up for Terese.

“So I’ve been dragging everyone’s storylines in the background for a while, and now that this story has happened, it hits me like a ton of bricks!

“And there’s yet another massive and exciting plot that they keep pushing back for various reasons,” she told Inside Soap.

It would make her character extremely vulnerable and discussing showing that side of her character, the actress added, “I find it quite difficult.

“It shows a really vulnerable side to her, so it’s a lot trickier than just playing her normally and going to work.”

“It’s very raw and moving, but I like the challenge. This story just shows that the temptation is still there,” Rebekah continued.

“It all depends on what’s going on in your life and how the stress you’re experiencing can set you back.

“Horrible things happen, and Terese fights them — but it’s still a huge struggle,” the actress explained, so will her mom having an affair with Paul be the next big hurdle to overcome?

The actress who will play Estelle, Maria, appeared in Neighbors before between the years 2004 and 2007 as the mother of Carmella Cammeniti (Natalie Blair).

Neighbors airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
