Guardians 3 Rocket Theory Would Continue Thor’s Tragic MCU Story

Thor’s MCU history has been largely defined by tragedy, and the most popular Guardians of the Galaxy 3 theory for Rocket would continue that theme.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 The tragic story of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue if Rocket’s greatest theory comes true. Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy will once again have their histories intertwined in Phase 4. The main Guardians team should appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which should set up the events of James Gunn’s sequel. Although it’s not confirmed that Chirs Hemsworth’s Thor will return in Guardians of the Galaxy 3the highly anticipated sequel could yet include a major moment for Thor’s MCU history.

Throughout the MCU, Thor has become one of the most powerful characters in the universe but also one of the most tragic. It really started in Thor: The Dark World with the death of his mother Frigga and a cloud of despair has followed him ever since. Jane Foster broke up with him some time later Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thor: Ragnarok then saw his father Odin and his friends the Warriors Three die, while even Asgard, Mjolnir and his right eye were destroyed in the end. Avengers: Infinity War then began with more tragedy, as Thanos killed Thor’s brother Loki and his best friend Heimdall. It also ended on a dour note for the Thunder God as he didn’t aim for the head, allowing Thanos to use the Infinity Stones to wipe out half of all life across the universe – l ‘sending in a depressed state during Avengers: Endgame.

Even though Thor regained his mojo a bit at the end of Avengers: Endgame and seems to be better than ever in Thor: Love and Thunderthe good times could end once again with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film is described as the latest iteration of this version of Guardians, which leads to great speculation that some of the characters died. Unfortunately for Thor, Rocket is at or near the top of the movie’s list of most likely victims. It’s mainly because Gunn has admitted that Rocket is the character he feels the strongest connection to. Rocket dying in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 would also fit incredibly well into his overall arc of accepting this new family, watching Yondu die to save them, being one of the only members to survive The Blip, and then sacrificing himself to keep his family safe. new family. If Gunn kills Rocket Racoon, it will be the final tragic moment in Thor’s MCU history.

The MCU Made Rocket and Thor’s Friendship Incredibly Strong During Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. They started out as a pair of rebel fighters who wanted to get incredibly powerful weapons. However, Avengers: Infinity War asked Rocket to check on Thor’s mental state before embarking on this mission, which is where Thor heartbreakingly said, “What more could I lose? It turned out he could still lose a lot more, but his friendship with Rocket continued through a tough time in his life. It was even Rocket who managed to join Thor to join the fight in Avengers: Endgame after the failure of the Hulk. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 killing off Rocket would be another heartbreaking moment for Thor, even if it’s the best decision for the movie itself.

If Rocket’s MCU Story Ends In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, this will hopefully mean that Thor will have a role in the film. Depending on how the movie handles his death, Thor might be present for his funeral and reflect on what Rocket’s friendship meant to him. Chris Hemsworth’s character could even be present for when Rocket dies if Thor potentially makes a return in the third act. Either way, Thor might have more tragedy to come in the MCU if that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 the theory comes true.
