Emmerdale Theory: Nicola King for Business as Lies Unveil in Bernice Blackstock’s Twist | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Nicola (played by Nicola Wheeler) had a turbulent year with her husband, Jimmy King (Nick Miles), last year at Emmerdale following an accident he was involved in which resulted in the death of Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale). The months following the explosive storyline saw him begin to develop feelings for Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and the couple even shared a kiss. It was a lot to deal with for his wife, but in upcoming scenes from the ITV soap opera, she might be the one playing the outside.

The drama begins towards the end of next week’s episodes as Nicola is busy with her consulting work and she decides to change her surroundings by working at The Hide.

However, it’s not long before his sister, Bernice (Samantha Giles) turns up and wants to know what’s going on in the local council world.

As work piles up and she begins to feel more stressed, the counselor might tell her sister that she wants to spend more time with her husband.

As a solution to her problems, she could ask Bernice to step in and help her with some additional administrative tasks, which she would be more than happy to do.

Unfortunately, wanting to spend time with Jimmy might be a lie because Nicola might feel her other half is starting to neglect her.

Not wanting to think about work or his turbulent love life, Nicola could take his time away from council duties to pursue a more enjoyable affair.

On her way to town, she might decide to spend the afternoon having a few drinks by herself without being interrupted by anyone.

Noticing that she is sitting alone, a handsome stranger might ask to join her and seduced by her charms, Nicola might agree to keep her company.

As the drinks flow and Nicola gets more attention than she’s had in months, she might trade numbers with the stranger.

Over the next two days, she might have a jump in her step as she feels she’s becoming more and more like the old Nicola before her wedding.

However, the last thing Bernice would expect to see is her sister meeting a handsome stranger and kissing him passionately.

When she sees them entering a hotel, she will no longer doubt what her sister is doing, leaving her with a huge dilemma.

Torn by her loyalty to Nicola and not wanting Jimmy to get hurt, will Bernice tell the truth or keep the matter a secret?

The actress who plays the feisty villager, Nicola, opened up about the reception she received from fans about her character’s relationship with Jimmy.

Nicola explained: “People tell me on the street, ‘You should be nicer to Jimmy,’ even though I defend my character and say, ‘If I was married to a Jimmy, he’d be under the patio now! ‘”

“Thank goodness Nick Miles, who plays him, has nothing to do with Jimmy,” the soap opera star continued in an interview with Inside Soap.

“We call him ‘Jim, Nice But Dim’, because he’s kinda dumb, aren’t he? The majority of the fans like that Nicola is rude and funny!”

How will viewers feel if they find out Nicola is now going to be the one cheating on Jimmy?

Regardless of her next storyline, it looks like Nicola is going to be staying in the village for a while.

The actress said: “I’m lucky to be in ‘Emmerdale’ for a long time and I’m happy to play a cat cow.”

“But it’s so great to be part of the soap opera and you never want to shy away from working,” she continued in her interview with the Daily Mirror.

“I know I’m hitting the 50 mark now, but in my head I’m permanently 20.

“But never say never. If the story is good, they can still kill you. I feel lucky and love the variety of soap work.

“I often laugh at what my character says, and sometimes I wonder why she hasn’t been murdered yet,” Nicola added.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode airing on Thursdays.
