Complexity adds AWPer hallzerk to CS:GO roster, junior sub
Complexity completed an exchange in their startup CS: GO lineup, signing AWPer Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli and moving Paytyn “junior” Johnson to a back-up role ahead of a potential move to a new home.
Hallzerk became a free agent over the past month, following Dignitas’ exit from the competition CS: GO scene after entering with the legendary roster core of NiP from 2020. Hallzerk joined Dignitas with the famous core of f0rest, friberg, GeT_RiGhT and Xizt. GeT_RiGhT and Xizt left before the end of the year, and Dignitas as a whole struggled to compete internationally while swapping different talent from Norway and Sweden.
For the second year in a row, Junior went from the starting roster to the inactive roster approximately six to seven months after signing with a North American outfit earlier this year, following a six-month stint with FURIA in the first. half of 2021, and now another with Complexity in 2022.
Complexity returned to the North American scene earlier this year after parting ways with their European roster at the end of 2021. Their Danish players switched to Astralis and NiP. Complexity acquired core Extra Salt from JT, FaNg, and floppy, while also signing Grim away from Team Liquid and bench junior FURIA. The team has also struggled internationally, posting negative records at the ESL Pro League, IEM Dallas and Cologne and the PGL Antwerp Major.
Hallzerk will compete for complexity in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups and ESL Pro League Season 16 this month.
