Suffice it to say, George’s year has been bad and from what’s revealed on The Big Bang Theory, it’s supposed to get worse, because it’s also the same year he’s supposed to suffer an injury. When Sheldon was 12, he began conducting stair height experiments to prove that if a stair tread is two millimeters or more, it is likely to cause people to trip. He learned he was right when his father fell and broke his collarbone. However, the good thing: there is little or no chance that Young Sheldon will address this particular story, as the Coopers currently live in a bungalow. There is no other place where this can take place since father and son spend most of their days apart as Sheldon now goes to East Texas Tech while George works at Medford High School.

Young Sheldon Season 5 George

According to what happened in Yyoung Sheldon season 4 finale, that doesn’t mean George’s year doesn’t end with another heartbreak. Over the past two years, The Big Bang Theory spin-off actively worked to portray him as a victim of his circumstances. On several occasions now he has admitted that he is not happy and deeply unhappy with the turn of his life. It didn’t help that he was often neglected or harassed at home by his wife and children. Like Young Sheldon building towards his eventual cheating scandal, it looks like the show is trying to vindicate him by slowly breaking his spirits. Maybe he finally commits adultery and acts on his attraction to Brenda. There is also the possibility of him getting fired from his job.

However George Young Sheldon Season 5’s story ends, at least it probably won’t be with him healing a broken collarbone. Certainly, The Big Bang Theorythe portrayal of him was unfair and inaccurate. For once, the original sitcom may have just made her life easier in the prequel spin-off.
